The purpose of this article is to outline the types of assets that can be purchased & the policies surrounding those asset types.
Currently, there are 3 main types of assets:
- Renewable (Software licenses, subscriptions, memberships, leases)
- Returnable (Monitors, laptop computers, desktop computers, webcams)
- Non-returnable (Mice, keyboards, headsets)
For each asset category, there is a related set of steps for processing the order. Generally if you are unsure and would like to order, you can always make a request via a support ticket here.
This asset type will require a ticket to the support team. If it is a license or subscription that is not currently offered or supported, justification may be required and should be included in the ticket.
If you have ordered software that has already been approved, please provide the receipt as well as any licensing information (I.e.; serial numbers, activation keys) in a ticket for tracking.
This asset type will require tracking, and should be ordered through a support ticket. If these are purchased yourself, you will be required to provide the receipt and serial number to the support team via a ticket.
Non-returnable assets are assets which typically are not required to be returned however will be monitored for warranty purposes.
